Book Review - 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲! by Carol Tuttle

Nature can give 2 different meanings; one is what’s inside us and another meaning is about the ‘nature’ around or outside us. Interesting isn’t it? The book is about Energy Profiling, which is based on 4 elements of chemistry and 4 elements of nature. Energy, as we learned, is always moving. Assessment thru Energy Profiling is based on how we express our movement with this energy. The following are the 4 energy types in Energy Profiling: Nitrogen / Air - Type 1 Oxygen / Water - Type 2 Hydrogen / Fire - Type 3 Carbon / Earth - Type 4 We often heard of how the 4 outside nature elements were used as energy sources. What about the chemical elements that have to do with our nature? Do you know that our (human) DNA is 99.9% the same? All of these chemical elements are the basic elements that made up the DNA, hence we are going to see ourselves in each type. But the variation in that 0.1% that determines our differences. This small difference made us all unique. This difference made the autho

Kdrama (sneak peek) - Jirisan

Not surprising on the rating. This is one of the most highly anticipated dramas this year. A story about the rangers and other employees of Jirisan National Park, as well as incidents surrounding the mountain.  Just watched the first 2 episodes 3 days ago. It started with a newly arrived ranger who joined the search and rescue (SAR) team for a missing child, suspected came to the mountain to commit suicide. They showed charismatic and fast-moving action in the beginning (even with some dodgy CGI effect), and the storyline later developed into the peeling off dark mysteries surrounding the mountain.  Honestly the drama gave me goosebumps while anticipating every detail of the story development, even just for 2 episodes. It's a nerve racking, dark mystery drama with captivating view of the mountain. As expected from the writer of drama Signal and Kingdom, this drama is the kind that keeps you sitting on the edge, engaged. The drama is supported by great casts - Ju Ji-hoon (Kingdom se

Netflix Movie Review - Fatherhood (2021)

Matt, a single father who just lost his wife unexpectedly hours after she delivered their beautiful baby girl, Maddy. Now Matt has to decide how to raise his little girl while struggling to juggle things in his life. A heartwarming and funny story. Two-parent livelihood is hard, but single parent is much more! I can't imagine the chaos… but the supports are amazing! Both main characters played well, with the colors of the supporting characters.  First time parent, alone, most would feel hopeless, exhausted, and maybe even try to just give up. But every child is their parents' strength. I love that the movie showed the real life struggle and appease to the supports around Matt when he is having a hard time to raise Maddy. The family, the friends, the office. We learnt from this pandemic that work if flexible everywhere nowadays, and it gives him more space to be there for his daughter. Being a single parent also should not stop a parent to pause a moment and think about him/hers

World Suicide Prevention Day (2021)

10 September 2021. Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. It's a day to raise awareness that suicide can be prevented. During this challenging time, people are more susceptible to stress, anxiety, depression and feeling of losing hope due to various reasons. Many have lost their jobs, losing their loved ones, exhausted physically and mentally, suffering abuses, and many more. Some may have resorted to taking extreme measure to handle it. Let's play our role as part of a community to increase this awareness and stop the social stigma on people who are having mental health issues. Let's be more kind to other people and ourselves. Since gathering and face to face meeting can be challenging during this time, let's play our role as well to reach out to at least one person today in our social circle. Technology has made it easier for us to connect. Use it. We are all just connected with one call / Whatsapp away. If possible, video call is better. For someone who has survived

Froebel Professional Development Course (Level 1)

I'm graduating! Alhamdulillah...finally completed and graduated from 4 months of Froebel Professional Development Course (FPDC). Yeay!! Even though I had been to medical school and was a MO at paeds, this is a totally different view and experience of learning on children. Exploring play and its relation to their physical, mental, emotion, social development, and so much more. I am amazed how beautiful the natural process is, how precious and sensitive children are, how much they have taken in and how much the adults may have 'hurt' them. This journey is not only about learning and understanding children, but also a learning and a healing process for myself. The most challenging, but also an important part is to unschool my thoughts; to unlearn and relearn. A lot of peeling happened, layers by layers, with lots of reflections, and understanding more of myself. I don't have any children of my own, but I am a parent first for myself, my inner child. I am also here, tryi

Children misbehave? Annoying?

Life really can take you turn 180 degrees. Owh... children, how I have a love-hate relationship with you.  My last entry was about how I have decided not to have my own children. Have I changed my mind? Since then, I have learnt a lot about parenting and early childhood education. Weird? This is just how things go. If I don't like something (in this case children), it does not mean I can't love them right? So I just want to get to know them better. Well, children... you guys are genius! I am amazed on things I am learning. You little human being...so annoying, clingy and attention seeker. No, I don't hate them. I have learnt to accept that they are just being children. We are all once are children. But we always feel that we can't handle them, feeling that they are so demanding? It comes back to a self-reflection. We have always putting expectations on how one should behave, how one should not do this and that, but we forgot that these children is growing up, just star
